WebMay 3, 2016 · We aged our 125 proof corn whiskey for 5 weeks on a charred spiral. Now I'm looking to make a stout to age on the sprial and have a true family made bourbon aged beer. Question is what would be a good size batch to use with the sprial. I'm thinking no more than 3 gallon but not too familiar with aging on wood spirals.
