Theres not a lot of options with the frets on unless you are willing to spray over them ala Fender. If you do, be sure to use a clear that contains a UV blocker such as Tinuvin. Oils will not stop or slow the fading. WebOil finishes will turn the purpleheart a deep violet color. Too dark for my tastes. Any oil finish will enhance the figure, but you will achieve better results using a commercial tung oil concoction or your own home brew. …
